Project: Winter Garden

In the depth of winter, I walked out into the garden and saw the bare limbs of the trees and the hard frosted ground. It was hard to imagine the garden that would come in Spring.

In contrast to this, I visited the botanical gardens exploring the artificial warmth and tropical heat of exotic plants.  

My project aims to find the tension between these two worlds: both gardens, one of heat and glass and the other of bare cold frost-clad limbs of the Scottish winter trees.
