In Class 10, the pupils cover a lot of ground and even measure some heights of trees. They start with some angle work and history, making themselves an ancient tool to measure right-angles with, using just a string.
They then start on the well trodden path of SOHCAHTOA and quickly delve into trigonometry in non-right-angled triangles.
Finally the pupils come to the prettiest part of this Main Lesson, looking at the wave functions and how they can be used to model the time that the sun rises and sets in Edinburgh.
