My Advanced Higher Art portfolio is based on ideas of home, family and leaving home. The project began with studies of pieces of late 19th Century / early 20th Century artists, Edouad Vuillard and Pierre Bonnard, whose focus on domestic spaces inspired me.
The aim of my portfolio is to take the viewer from a vague and unfamiliar perspective of my home and family to a closer, more personal knowledge of the space and its inhabitants
While moving through the house family members, represented as objects closely related their interests, are revealed and their relationships to eachother explored.
